Rules

The mere fact of acquiring a right to participate implies knowledge of these rules and their legal conditions, and therefore their express and unreserved acceptance.

When registering via the registration platform, participants confirm that they have read and understood these sporting rules by means of an electronic verification. This contractual document sets out the sporting rules governing the various races that make up the event.

Another document contains the legal and financial conditions relating to the registration process and the participation of runners in the El 1258 event, available on the website.

Race procedure

A GPS tracker will be provided to each Ultra-Trail participant and each Ultra-Hike and Relay team. This tracker allows the organisers to monitor participants’ progress and route in real time, thereby ensuring their safety along the course.

Ultra-Hicking teams must remain together at all times or face disqualification. Each participant must remain within 100 metres of the other members of their team. No exceptions will be made to this rule.

It is therefore essential for each team to have at least one fully charged mobile phone for GPS tracking in their race bag

throughout the event. At any point during the race, each participant must be able to prove that their phone (or GPS) and rechargeable batteries have sufficient charge to reach the finish line (the same requirement applies to headlamps). In order to be reachable by race control at all times, phones must not be set to silent or airplane mode.
