After lengthy discussions and a thorough analysis of the situation, the organising committee has decided not to hold the event in 2026.

At this stage, we are unable to offer participants all the necessary guarantees regarding the obtaining of all the authorisations required to hold the event. The project still requires more in-depth discussions with all stakeholders: government departments, nature parks and reserves, landowners, and local stakeholders.

The organising committee — composed of members of the Horos association, representatives of the French Hiking Federation, and the municipalities of Formiguères, Mosset, Bélesta, Vingrau and Salses-le-Château — remains fully committed to this project. Our determination remains unchanged: to eventually bring this event to fruition, offering a unique experience that follows the trail of the former border between France and Catalonia.

We prefer to take the time necessary to build a solid project that respects the territories and all their stakeholders.
