Maratrail

This is an individual trail race covering approximately 42 km with 2,700 m of elevation gain and 2,800 m of elevation loss, following the old border between Col de Puymorens and Formiguères on a fully marked course.

The Maratrail is a timed event, with scratch and category rankings established at the finish line. It is open to competitors aged 20 and over (born on or before 6 September 2006) who can demonstrate previous experience in a trail race of at least 20 km/effort*.

This event will start on Thursday 27 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and the closing time for the race is set at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday 27 August 2026, giving competitors a maximum of 12 hours to complete the challenge and become finishers.

*Definition of distance/effort: distance of a course in kilometres plus the elevation gain in hundreds of metres. Example: I complete a course of 15 km and 300 m of elevation gain, which gives a distance/effort of 18 kilometres/effort: 15+(300/100) =18 KE.
