Ultra-Trail

This is an individual ultra-trail event covering approximately 226 km with 8,000 m of elevation gain and 9,900 m of elevation loss, following the old border between Col de Puymorens and Salses-le-Château on an unmarked route starting from Formiguères (km 42).

The Ultra-Trail is a timed event, with scratch and category rankings established at the finish line. It is open to competitors aged 21 and over (born on or before 6 September 2005) who can demonstrate prior experience in an ultra-endurance event of at least 100 km/effort*.

This event will start on Thursday 27 August 2026 at 12 noon and the closing time for the race is set at 12 noon on Sunday 30 August 2026, giving competitors a maximum of 72 hours to complete the challenge and become finishers.

*Definition of distance/effort: distance of a course in kilometres plus the elevation gain in hundreds of metres. Example: I complete a course of 15 km and 300 m of elevation gain, which gives a distance/effort of 18 kilometres/effort: 15+(300/100) =18 KE.
